Track: Intermediate

We spend a lot of time looking at safety data from BBS observations, injury reports, and other sources. But we often fail to get that information out in ways that capture the target audience. You can put away the old slide presentations and better communicate your safety information using multimedia. This presentation will help you identify multimedia tools that can enliven your safety communications and are readily available. It will have you understanding hazards and behavior in ways that evoke serious thought, and in ways that will find you getting a little laugh.

Terry Miller has worked in the graphic design/multimedia industry for 20 years. He has spent most of the past decade at the Savannah River Site as a multimedia designer. His passions are video visual effects, photo manipulation, and 3D modeling and animation. Regardless of the medium, Terry views effective communication as his primary task. He has an Associate’s degree in Multimedia, a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

Roger Staten has been involved in BBS for over 20 years at the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS).
